Date and Place
November 18, 2015 at Segal Building, Simon Fraser University
Description
A rising number of entrepreneurs and community builders have challenged the conventional division of responsibilities between for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. Start-ups, social innovations, and hybrid organizations are beginning to lead a new way of doing business.
This time, ExpoPlaza Latina brought together entrepreneurs and social innovators to share their energizing stories and innovative responses to social, economic, cultural, and environmental challenges. The event helped to discuss emerging opportunities and challenges faced by social enterprises and start-ups. Besides, the speakers explored what the Latin American market offers to start and scale ventures and how to collaborate with Latin American business and professionals to create new effective, efficient, and sustainable solutions to social challenges.
