Patrick MacKenzie is the CEO of the Immigrant Employment Council of BC, where he leads efforts to strengthen immigrant talent pathways and support BC’s labour market needs. With a career dedicated to public service across Canada, Patrick has worked extensively on economic and social development initiatives that support vulnerable communities. He previously spent 11 years at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada in both national and regional offices.
His work has focused on immigrant economic integration, labour mobility, credential recognition, provincial nominee programs, and partnerships that advance opportunities for Indigenous and newcomer populations. Patrick is committed to building inclusive, future-ready workforce systems.
